Delicious fig products: jams, paste and chutney!

Dionne Mitchell and Ian Knox operate a 350 tree fig orchard, also growing garlic, veggies, stone fruit on-farm. Their small apiary produces limited quantities of honey, and pollination services for fruit and veg.

Produce is grown using organic methods, without herbicides, pesticides or synthetic fertilisers. They practice regenerative agriculture, improving soils whilst producing delicious, nutrient-rich, fresh and value-added produce. They attend local farmers markets each weekend, and wholesale to retailers in Wellington, Orange, Mudgee, Dubbo and Merriwa.

They make delicious fig products, including jams, paste, chutney, with 70 per cent fruit and lower sugar: intense fruit flavours and better for health.

They are excited to be attending Nosh for the first time this year,, and are sharing a stall with Blue Sky Cheese. Together, they are offering a tasting boat of Blue Sky Cheese and Curra Creek gourmet fig products!

“We look forward to staying in Narrabri for Nosh weekend, and participating in this exciting food event! Meeting locals, sharing stories and experiencing Narrabri and environs for the first time…lots to enjoy ahead!”
